- Whenever I telnet into our os2 machines running tcp/ip 1.2.1
- and the machine is doing some cpu intensive task, the remote
- telnet session is unusable. Just redrawing the prompt takes
- 5 to 10 seconds. It seems that os2 looks at this remote telnet
- session as a background low priority task and gives it near zero
- cycles. Has anyone encountered this situation and have a solution.
-
- The machine is a 486-50 with 16Megs-60ns and 660Meg drive. These
- should be enough hardware resources. The problem must be with
- the telnet server or some other software aspect.
-
- Telneting out from this machine with the same cpu load works
- just fine. A similar machine behaves the same.
-
- Thanks very much -- alann
