  12. I grapped UUPC 1.11q and SNEWS/2 2.0 from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu a while ago.
  13. So far I have managed to set up UUPC.  It is the new SNEWS which
  14. makes me wonder....
  15.  
  16. Every time I try to 'addgroup xxx' I get the following message:

  18.            ADDGROUP: (SNEWS /2 2.0)
  19.  
  20.            Couldn't read rc info
  21.  
  22. What's wrong with this?  Addgroup will create the file 'active' to d:\news
  23. and it creates the directory d:\news\newsbase, and it creates all
  24. the normal files there, including '00000000' and '00000000.idx'.
  25.  
  26. I've mangled through all the documentation -- no help.  Are there some
  27. compatibility problems or something I should know?
  28.  
  29. I've tried to ftp a newer 1.11t of UUPC from sun.soe.clarkson.edu, but
  30. for some unknown reason I always got bad files. (I tried 4 different
  31. times during two weeks about a month ago.)  Version 1.11q I got
  32. from there was all OK.
