- This one is really weird...
- I just reinstalled OS/2 (after making its partition larger) and after
- installing, I rebooted to create the desktop, and it died right away with
- a Trap 000D, exception in AHA154X...
- I just recently switched to an Adaptec 1542B setup from IDE drives, and
- things were working mostly OK until this little problem popped up, except it
- wouldn't recognize my 3rd hard disk on OS/2 (but would under DOS using their
- supplied drivers)
- I got the patched AHA154X from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu BEFORE reinstalling today,
- and if I put it in the config.sys, the same thing would happen - exception and
- trap. Without the driver, things worked, minus disk 3.
- (SCSI 0's a 200MB Seagate partitioned 5/50/137/Boot Manager, SCSI ID's 1 and
- 2 are both 80MB Seagate ST296N's with one extended partition each. All
- formatted FAT, though that shouldn't really matter....)
- I figured before the reinstall, it might have been something else in my
- CONFIG.SYS, or the fact that I'd lost a lot of EA's here and there (another
- reason for reinstalling), but on a completely clean reinstall? I'm stumped,
- unless it's some kind of hardware conflict. Maybe it dosen't like my NE2000
- ethernet board or my Pro Audio Spectrum 16...?
-
- Any ideas on getting rid of this trap/exception and getting drive 3 up and
- going would be much appreciated (email preferred over followups) Thanks...
