  13. I was sorely disappointed OS/2 2.0 did not come with drivers for my
  14. printer, the NEC Pinwriter P5200.  I tried many different Epson (
  15. compatible by my manual's standards), but none of them worked.  I then
  16. (accidentally) ran across the "Win-OS/2 printer drivers", which included
  17. my printer.  I installed my driver, selected the lpt2.os2 port (my printer
  18. is on lpt2), and selected setup.  I got "nec24pin.drv is not a valid
  19. driver" error or something similar to that.  I tried another Win-OS/2
  20. driver at random and got the same error.  I assumed it was a bug in OS/2.
  21. Today, I got the addprn.zip fix off software.watson.ibm.com, which
  22. addresses exactally my problem.  However, it did not fix a thing.  I
  23. looked in my \os2\mdos\winos2 directory and the control.exe is the
  24. new version's date, so I assume it installed correctly.  If I understand
  25. OS/2's help index correctly, OS/2 can use the Win-OS/2 driver through
  26. the IBM Null driver.  I REALLY want to get my printer working, so any
  27. help would be appreciated.
