- Sometimes it happens -- a process seemingly goes "zombie." What often
- cures the problem is running KillEm against the process. Get ahold of
- KillEm 2.1 and Procs 2.1, both available via anonymous ftp from
- ftp-os2.nmsu.edu. They are very handy utilities to have around.
-
- However, there's really no need to worry about it. Just minimize the
- app and leave it be. Work as you always do, then, when you're ready,
- Shutdown. The next time you go into OS/2 just hold down left CTRL,
- left ALT, and F1 while the desktop is coming up. That will prevent
- applications from automatically restarting -- see the FAQ List for
- details on alternative methods.
-
- A "zombie" hanging around isn't going to hurt anything -- just keep on
- working and ignore it.
