  14. I have a Lightning (or is it Lightcom?) v32bis internal modem at home.
  15. It has one feature that I find is a must for high speed transfers. It
  16. contains a 16550 UART on the card, so you can set COM3 buffer to AUTO.
  17. It really improves performance.  If you get an internal modem, make
  18. sure it contains the new(er) UART.

  20. Has anyone seen any high speed modems with Hayes DMA mode?  Would OS/2
  21. support this?
