  23. EGA will work, but it is not the least expensive upgrade you can
  24. undertake, nor the one I would recommend.

  26. I would suggest picking up a copy of Computer Shopper.  Look for an ad
  27. from Underware Electronics and purchase their monochrome VGA monitor
  28. for $59.  Then, from National Computer (?), get a VGA card for $29.
  29. Total cost is less than $100, and you have a monochrome VGA setup
  30. which will work splendidly with OS/2 2.0 (in 640x480 with 16 shades of
  31. gray).

  33. Incidently, Underware sells refurbished IBM 8513 color VGA monitors
  34. for $139, if you want to spend the extra money.  :-)
