  11.  I called IBM about this one and apparently there is an APAR (fix)
  12. scheduled because the multi-threaded nature of the file manager can
  13. sometimes make it steal too many resources.  I had the problem where
  14. that error appeared about 200 times - then my system would die.

  16. Actually, die is a misleading term.  The mouse pointer would move,
  17. I just couldn't do anything - not even a shutdown.

  19. IBM support but me on a list of "interested parties".  The support
  20. rep said many people have downloaded the massive ICON pack from
  21. compuserve and elsewhere.  They then dump all of the icons in a
  22. directory and kill their system when they try to view them.
