- I have had something similar with DaVinci Email in a seamless window. I have
- also had this happen when my disk is getting a bit full and the swap file is
- unable to expand.....
-
- Have you checked your hard disk? You should have at least 8-10 megs for swap
- space. Is you swap file in your C: partition? If you did the full install into
- a 40meg partition, you haven't got enough space. Especially if you try to
- print something. Your C: partition is likely to be your spool space, too. So,
- if you print any reasonable-sized (20 pages?) documents, your spool is eating
- up your swap space..... Make sure you have about 2-3 megs for spool and 8-10
- megs for swapping.

-
- Some people feel that this kernel can - at times - act to prevent the
- swapper.dat from growing. This can be alleviated by making your swap file's
- initial size about 8-10 megs.

-
- have you added:
-
- call=c:\os2\mode.com com?:57600,n,8,1,rts=hs,buffer=auto
-
- to your config.sys (at the bottom)? This is for a high-speed modem, adjust the
- values to reflect your modem's capabilities. Also - try using an OS/2 comms
- program - like TE/2 - they are *MUCH* more efficient than DOS comms programs.
- They lack some of the bells and whisltes, but they get the job done with a
- minimum of uss and bother. If you want to stay with ProComm, then change your
- DOS settings so that IDLE_SENSITIVITY is set to 100 and IDLE_SECONDS is set
- to zero. This will allow OS/2 to give your DOS comms session as much as it can
- in the way of resources, but you pay the price elsewhere. This isn't necessary
- with an OS/2 comms program (or possible....:-))
