  12. Another update on the serial communication problem.  I've deleted the
  13. original problem description to avoid repetition.

  15. I borrowed a 2400 baud external modem and the OS/2 terminal programs
  16. seem to work fine except that TE2 still crashes on exit.  The problem
  17. I described previously was with serial communication through a null
  18. modem cable.  I have a 9600 baud external ordered and I'll report on
  19. how that works out.  The question remains, however: what could the
  20. problem be with making TE2 and PMCOMM communicate through a null modem
  21. cable (specifically the weird character translation problem)?  And what's
  22. the reason for the crash?  The exact error message (on TE2 exit)
