- The last time I ran OS/2, shutdownm wouldn't work. Since it hadn't caused
- problems before, I just powered off the system. When I powered back on,
- OS/2 couldn't read drive D:, which is HPFS and had most of my system on it.
- Now I can't boot OS/2; it gives a "can't access device" error, and says I
- need to run chkdsk /F on D:, which I can't do unless I can boot...Is there
- any way to fix this short of reinstalling OS/2 on a different system? I
- really don't want to bother, since when I came up here for college I didn't
- bother bringing the install disks with me (sound of head banging on wall).
-
- I'm running OS/2 on a 486/33 with 16mb of ram and a 200+ meg hard drive,
- partitioned into 45/45/110, of which only D: is HPFS...if any of that makes
- a difference....
