-
- Hmm - this (mis)information isn't in the command reference itself, but only
- available through the master help index. In any event, I think you're right
- and that it's a pretty safe bet that it's a typo. Even without the
- information from the newsgroup, if you just try to match up the information
- for "Improving I/O performance - HPFS" vs "... FAT", you'll see they can't
- both use DISKCACHE:
-
- * One shows the threshold value as sectors, and the other as KB. In the
- online command reference, the DISKCACHE description uses sectors for
- the threshold, while the HPFS.IFS argument /CRECL sets the threshold
- as KB.
-
- * The "..performance - HPFS" description says the maximum cache is 2MB,
- while the FAT description puts no absolute maximum on the cache size.
- Again, the FAT description agrees with the description of DISKCACHE in
- the command reference (well, actually the DISKCACHE entry does specify
- a 14MB maximum), while the HPFS entry agrees with the description of
- HPFS.IFS.
-
- It's a good point though - it could cause confusion.
