- I have just installed os/2 w/ boot manager on my stand alone 486/33 ISA.
- I have 8 me of memory, Ultrastor caching IDE controller, Diamond Stealth Video, and an
- IDE hard drive. I run win 3.1 under dos for many different DOS and Windows
- applications of all sorts including e.g. Procomm, Winfax, Fractint, PS Pro,
- None of these , nor anyhting that wasnt on the default database migration
- list-well almost nothing - wants to run under OS/2. I get a SYS0005 ERROR
- on dos applications and an "unexpected DOS error 5" on windows applications.
- I tried the help for the error but it didnt tell me anything (at least nothing
- that made sense to me).
- Because the error is uniform and because I assume that OS/2 would be
- uniformly ridiculed if it were truly this useless for DOS and WIN , I must be
- missing something obvious.
- Please E-mail me the answer or at least a reference to where I can find the
- answer.
