- I recently purchased a copy of OS/2, and to be honest, it's been a PAIN to
- install.
-
- After getting numerous errors, I finally was told that my old AMI BIOS needed
- to be upgraded. So, I got a new BIOS, MR BIOS Version V1.36.
-
- I started up the installation process again and it froze on disk 1. The error
- was that there is an internal processing error at location ##0160:fff6453f -
- 000d:953f
-
- Help! IBM's support is terrible (they told me that I should turnoff my shadow
- RAM, but I don't have any!). FYI, I have a standard 386/33.
-
- BTW, for the memory addressing, I've always been used to four digit aaaa:bbbb
- segment:offset addressing. I was kind of surprised with the error. Using
- a 32-bit register for the offset?
