  12. I'm having trouble doing serial communication in OS/2 2.0.  I've tried
  13. TE2 and PMCOMM with similar results (that is, very bad ones), so I
  14. must have a setup problem or some such.

  17. Details:      Toshiba 3300SL 80386SL/25 with 8meg.

  20. I have the computer running OS/2 connected to a 9600 baud serial line
  21. (via a null modem cable) on the SUN in my office.  DOS communication
  22. (w/o OS/2) works great, even at 38400 baud.  Under the OS/2
  23. communication programs listed above, all I get is garbage.
  24. Communication parameters on both ends are 9600,N,8,1.  I've tried
  25. setting IDSR, ODSR, OCTS to OFF as described in the file 'atcom.txt'
  26. on ftp-os2 but the problem remains unchanged.  I've tried doing Zmodem
  27. transfers using the DOS program DSZ under a DOS session in OS/2 with
  28. the result being *extremely* slow transfer, w/ CRC errors on virtually
  29. every packet.

  31. I wasn't running anything else when I tried any of the above programs.

  34. I installed the new COM drivers to see if this would help, but the
  35. problem is unchanged.  Ideally I'd like to hop back to 38400, but I
  36. thought 9600 baud was a good test case.

  38. Has anyone had similar problems?  A beer or an iced tea is waiting
