  14. I tried installing the new et4000 drivers to support my Diamond Speedstar 24
  15. For the LIBPATH i used A:\ as the first entry and renamed the desired driver
  16. 7686.dll to display.dll, this way if i failed i could just boot normal.  anyway
  17. I couldn't get the 6006.dll driver to work but... i did have 1024x768x16 and 
  18. boy was it sweet!!!  There is no comparison to "standard mode" some people 
  19. might not like the icons and such, but it was just sooooo crisp!  enough
  20. gloating already.

  22. I had to kludge it to get it to work and the second time it didn't workat all.
  23. The first time the monitor's sync was out so i was able to get to DOS full
  24. screen and use the Diamond utility VMODE to set the monitor freq. and after 
  25. svga on i was set when i switched back to WPS.

  28. Question: Why wasn't this info saved? and why didn't it come up the second 
  29. (and third and forth and ......) time?  Is there a way to run vmode (dos full
  30. screen) before wps comes on?  I am using one hpfs partition. (no fat here ;)
