  18. facility .... sort of a variant on incremental install with
  19. the same facilities to select what you wanted to keep (or
  20. what you wanted to delete) which then deleted files instead
  21. of reading them. (to make it even nicer it would do this 
  22. without having to go through all 10 disks!)

  24. one of the (many) good things about the emtex TeX package
  25. is that its divided into a large number of subunits and
  26. each subunit has a control file for a remove utility. so
  27. if, after building the font libraries, you decide you need
  28. to get some disk space back you can simply say

  32. (or something like that) and it will remove everything from
  33. the MF sub-package - if you need it again later just unzip to
  34. file from floppy again.

  36. i'm sure someone(at IBM ?) who knows what files are needed for
  37. what could bash out a quick REXX script to do this (ok so it
  38. wouldn't have the neat graphical interface :-)

  40. as a complete fall back option ... how about a list of all the
  41. optionally loadable files so you can zap *everything* optional
  42. and re-selective install from there.
