  18. Sounds like a bug in your compiler.  What (godforsaken) compiler are you
  19. using?  I'm using RCS, under DOS & UNIX & now OS/2, and haven't had any
  20. problems on any of these platforms...

  22. A compiler shouldn't need to do more than read the file--so the fact
  23. that the files are read-only shouldn't (and doesn't, with any compiler
  24. I've seen) matter.
