  30. I've tried a few times to get SVGA modes (and recently the 800x600x16)
  31. to work with my 1024i card and all I've gotten is screen garbage (and
  32. had a darned hard time trying to 'shutdown' in the blind, too :-)).

  34. If anyone has any SVGA modes working on a Video 7 1024i card, could you
  35. please share what you have done to get SVGA to work with the 1024i?  
  36. Email and I'll summarize, or post if you prefer.

  38. So far, what I've been trying is:

  40.     install appropriate display.dll and monitor.dll files *
  41.     svga on +
  42.     reboot

  44. Config.sys lines with 'vga' in them are:

  46.     DEVINFO=SCR,VGA,E:\OS2\VIOTBL.DCP
  47.     SET VIDEO_DEVICES=VIO_VGA
  48.     SET VIO_VGA=DEVICE(BVHVGA,BVHSVGA)
  49.     DEVICE=E:\OS2\MDOS\VSVGA.SYS

  51. * the install procedure under boot manager is a bit of a pain, but I have
  52.   it narrowed down to swapping LIBPATH= statements in the OS/2 config.sys.  
  53.   (One points at the V7 drivers before the normal ones, and the other doesn't.)

  55.   The .DLL files that I have are from 1-22-90 - are there more recent ones? 
  56.   Did they come with the card, or did you download them from Video7's BBS?
  57.   Does an monitor.dll for the NEC Multi-Sync 3D exist, or which other 
  58.   mon*.dll should be used?

  60. + is there some magic to invoke before 'svga on' that puts the video 
  61.   card into an svga mode ?
