- The HPFS patch won't do a thing for non-HPFS drivs (like floppies).
- The IBM1FLPY.ADD patch may help, but I thought it was only for 360K
- disks. If your CMOS settings are wrong, OS/2 might try formatting it
- to the wrong capacity. Also try using the "/F:1.2M" parameter to
- force the capacity. Be sure the disk is an HD - if you're trying to
- format a 360K disk, you'll need to specify the "/F:360K" parameter.
- (See your Command Reference for additional help with FORMAT.EXE).
-
- As for consolidating the patches, that's what the CSD is. When it
- ships, all the patches (and many that you haven't seen yet) will be
- provided in one place. It will have it's own install facility.
- Historically, CSD's are installed by booting the first CSD diskette
- and doing what it says from there.
-
- All the patches you've seen so far are pre-release or beta patches.
- They're only meant for users who are experiencing problems. The rest
- of us will get them when the update pack ships.
