- Why does one need to set the IRQ to 5? I think mine is set on 7
- which is the default (I think). However, when playing Wing Commander
- II I have noticed that I only get the first 1/2 second or so of
- digitized voices coming over the "radio" (i.e. "affir" instead of
- "affirmative captain") - would changing the IRQ affect this? If not
- is there any way to get it to work?
-
- All in all, WC2 is a buggy program and used to crash my 386 all the
- time. It doesn't even run on my 486-33 under dos, but under os/2
- it runs fine with the exception of the digitized voice problem. It
- does crash occasionally with a sys3176 error, but I fault the program
- not OS/2, and now I can simply close off the dos box and start it
- again instead of having to reboot my computer like i used to!
-
- I also don't like the lingering sound problem.
