- I had the same problem. Reading the FAQ helps ;-)
-
- The problem is with the Paradise video card. Get a replacement
- BVHSVGA.DLL file from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu (I think the file was
- pub/os2/2.0/patches/bvsvga.zip or something like that). Unpack the DLL
- to a diskette (use a different computer if you can't boot your own,
- re-install DOS if that's the only chance). Boot OS/2 from the first
- two installation disks, hit ESC to get command prompt, put the
- diskette with replacement DLL to A: and say
-
- copy a:bvhsvga.dll c:\os2\dll\
-
- (or d:\os2... if OS/2 is on D:, like I have). If you cannot FTP, read
- the OS/2 FAQ and learn how to request for fiels by e-mail.
-
- I don't know what's wrong with your DOS booting. Try re-installing the
- DOS. I don't think it's a very good idea to have DOS and OS/2 reside
- on the same partition. It's easier to re-install etc. when they are on
- different partitions.
-
- Now I only hope that someone will produce good seamless Windows
- drivers for the PVGA chipset...
