  13. I know this gets asked often, but the answers seem to change.  Major
  14. considerations include:

  16. 1) accelerator would be nice, but will there be drivers? (no, I can't
  17.    afford an ultra).

  19. 2) what's the best Tseng 4000 chip?

  21. 3) 800x600x256 NOW.

  23. 4) should I wait until the 32-bit graphics engine comes out?

  25. 5) speed must be better than Trident 8900c.

  27. 6) what's the difference between VRAM and DRAM?

  29. 7) what's HICOLOR?

  31. 8) is now the time to buy?

  33. 9) future OS/2 support is important.  I don't want to buy from a
  34.    company that doesn't care about its OS/2 users.

  37. In a nutshell, what should I get?  I will pay up to $300, but it has
  38. to be worth it.  I'd prefer to pay less.  I'm sure in a year or so the
  39. accelerators of today will be pokey(?) so should I get a serviceable
  40. one now and wait for acceleration?
