  28. Nice suggestion, but what are the side effects of using it improperly?  Right now, I'm using the
  29. IBMINT13.I13 driver from the original installation, because my system would lock up during the
  30. installation.  I've had no problem since then, and I've had a stable system for about a month.  I'm
  31. in *no* hurry to fiddle around and possibly have to reformat or any of the remedies implied with
  32. experimenting with the file system.

  34. But I'd *love* to get a 10x performance boost!  While my system doesn't take 10 minutes to boot,
  35. and the last installation took all of 15 minutes (well, maybe more...I was overjoyed to be able to go
  36. through all 15 diskettes without having to reboot, edit, etc...), I think the 3-5 minutes it takes to settle
  37. is a bit much.
