- Since the imminent CSD will include SVGA drivers for the most popular video
- cards, I went out and bought a Tseng Labs ET4000 SVGA video card. I replaced
- my existing video card with it, which was a bit slower although a good card
- (Trident 8900C).
-
- Running TE/2 in a window with my V32bis modem had been a bit slowish on the
- video refresh...........I often ran it full-screen, but then I couldn't cut
- and paste.......
-
- But with the Tseng video card, TE/2 is *much* faster in a window (at 640x480 -
- I haven't downloaded the SVGA drivers yet).
-
- I was surprised by the difference. I hadn't expected it to be so great.
- Perhaps when I get to 800x600, it won't be so noticeable.
-
- Any comments?
