- I guess that OS/2 really is a better DOS than DOS.
-
- I bought a new 486-33 a while ago and over the weekend, I was
- trying out all my old DOS software to make sure it still worked
- (under DOS 5.0). Well, everything was OK until I tried to
- run Sprint (Borlands old word processor). It started loading,
- spit out the one line title, and failed with a Divide overflow
- error and stuck me back at the DOS prompt.
-
- This concerned my for a minute. I though it might be due to too much
- free RAM (~620K). I loaded Turbo C++, shelled to DOS and Sprint still
- woundn't run. Now I was worried. My 30 day trial had already passed
- and I am 'stuck' with the computer now ( wish I could be stuck with a
- car that is this relatively fast :^) ).
-
- Well have no fear, OS/2 is here! I opened a full screen DOS session,
- loaded Sprint, and it worked flawlessly!
-
- Now, I don't really care that it doesn't work under DOS, but has anybody
- seen this before??
-
- Thanks, Chris
