- I have two 'how to' questions, so I put them together into this one post.
-
- 1) There is a shareware OS/2 application called se20boot, which is
- supposed to make OS/2 bootable disk. I have the se20boot.zoo file
- with the following contents.
-
- Archive se20boot.zoo:
- Length CF Size Now Date Time
- -------- --- -------- --------- --------
- 3868 61% 1505 17 Jul 92 14:46:16 license.txt
- 4669 63% 1725 21 Aug 92 08:33:12 se20boot.abs
- 28459 45% 15537 20 Aug 92 14:27:52 se20boot.exe
- 16504 73% 4428 18 Aug 92 08:36:52 seb_sys.ini
- 4437 55% 2013 18 Aug 92 12:28:30 seb_user.ini
- -------- --- -------- --------- --------
- 57937 57% 25208 5 files
-
- Note that there is no documentation. I want to make a bootable
- floppy on my A: drive. How is this done. I started to run
- se20boot.exe from an OS/2 command line, and it asked me to insert my
- installation disk 0. WHY ?? It should not need my installation diskettes
- when I'm running it on a OS/2 system on the harddisk. Besides the
- destination is the A: drive. How does this program work ??
-
- 2) OS/2 documents an UNDELETE command and an associated DELDIR setting
- in config.sys. The installation put a DELDIR line in my config.sys
- commented out (with REM). I removed the REM and created the directory
- mentioned (C:\DELETE). I rebooted, and then removed a file. Nothing
- was in the c:\delete directory (the on-line documentation says my file
- should have been copied there). I ran UNDELETE which said that the
- the facility was not enabled (I don't recall the exact error message).
- DOES THIS FEATURE WORK ?? AND HOW ??
-
-
- Please respond via e-mail, not with followup messages to the net,
- as I may miss those.
- Thanks
