- I had no trouble with the old TE/2 (v1.10.c). When I first got the
- new version (1.2), I had lots of problems. Getting the new CommPak
- (v1.01) solved some of the problems, but I still had one nagging
- difficulty: Zmodem autodownloads weren't working -- I'd get retry
- errors and eventual aborts. However, I turned off the autodownload
- switch in TE2.INI (so that, to do Zmodem downloads, I have to press
- Alt-N), AND EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT! I get about 1500-1600 cps for
- Zmodem downloads of compressed files, using v.32bis. I get over 3000
- cps for uncompressed files. I have no trouble doing these downloads
- in the background -- I have a 16550 UART, and my port speed is set at
- 57600 bps.
-
- I am very happy with TE/2.
