  11. I have following problem:
  12. I am running Windows 3.1 and Dos 5.0 in 386-40 with 4 M ram and Windows is giving me
  13. following error all the time

  15. xxxx caused general protection failure... closing application

  17. This happens with almost every program and at any time. 
  18. Furthermore I am not able to start any DOS-application in 386 enhanced mode,
  19. but in standard mode I can. In enhanced mode windows tells me that I do not
  20. have enough memory, but when I look how much I have free system resources It
  21. tells me that I have over 5 Megs free.
  22. Could this be due to this AMD processor or perhaps problem is with the AMI bios
  23. settings? Could somebody who has this AMD 386-40 processor and fully functional
  24. windows running send to me his bios settings? My bios is dated 7.7.91.
