- EMM386 and Smartdrive are two entirely different (yet compatible) things.

- If it is extended (and not expanded) memory that you need, do this:
- Load Himem.sys
- load smartdrv, but don't use all available memory for it. The reason you
- probably cannot find extended memory is that smartdrive was using all of it,
- leaving none for your game. Read the manual for instructions on making
- smartdrv use less memory.
- You won't need emm386 unless you are using dos 5 and want to load things high,
- or you have applications that need expanded (not extended) memory.
- The windows and dos 5 manuals have some good chapters on these. Email me if
- you have any more trouble. Also, let me know your system configuration.
