  15. I am running an IBM Model 80 and Windows 3.1 in enhanced mode.  My machine 
  16. was locking up when printing the printer.tst document from WordPerfect for 
  17. Windows.  Physical RAM was low, and a lot of swapping was going on.  I 
  18. _reduced_ the permanent swap file from 28Mb to 6Mb, and I was able to print 
  19. the same file that had been hanging.  I increased the swap file back to 
  20. 30Mb, and the problem did not return.  I saw exactly this behaviour on 
  21. another machine, but that experience was no more enlightening.

  23. Has anyone seen problems with extremely large swap files or 
  24. problems that were cleared up by making a change to the virtual memory 
  25. configuration?
