- I am running an IBM Model 80 and Windows 3.1 in enhanced mode. My machine
- was locking up when printing the printer.tst document from WordPerfect for
- Windows. Physical RAM was low, and a lot of swapping was going on. I
- _reduced_ the permanent swap file from 28Mb to 6Mb, and I was able to print
- the same file that had been hanging. I increased the swap file back to
- 30Mb, and the problem did not return. I saw exactly this behaviour on
- another machine, but that experience was no more enlightening.
-
- Has anyone seen problems with extremely large swap files or
- problems that were cleared up by making a change to the virtual memory
- configuration?
-
- I need to get to the bottom of this, so any information will be
- appreciated. Thanks.
