  31. I think I got the Diamond Speedstar 24 (not X), I'm not sure. I have a 15"
  32. MAG monitor. According to all the driver, vmode, win3.1 stuff I got, you
  33. are right, it only does 1280x1024 in interlaced mode.

  35. However, I am also an NT developer and I was a little frustrated with the
  36. limited # of display drivers that came with NT (i.e. technically, my
  37. Speedstar 24 should only work as a VGA at 640x480). So, I tried using
  38. some of the display drivers that came with NT for other boards (I think
  39. I ended up using some for the ET4000). Now, under NT, I see 1280x1024
  40. NON-INTERLACED at at least 60Hz, I think higher. The weirdest thing is
  41. I'm using an NT driver for the ET4000 that is supposed to be at 1024x768.

  43. Anyway, my point is that I think maybe these Speedstar 24-s can really
  44. do 1280x1024 non-interlaced high-freq. Just nobody has written the proper
  45. driver yet.

  47. I did have one problem though. I have to play with the monitor whenever
  48. I move between NT and Win3.1 now because the 1280x1024 NT mode has 
  49. different sync or something. I also loose about 16 pixels on both sides
  50. of my display and there are bright vertical lines on both sides as if
  51. the gun can't move the whole 1280 and is putting 16 pixels on top of
  52. each other on both sides of my display. I like 1280x1024 better than 
  53. the 1024x768. I have to play with the back controls of my MAG monitor
  54. some more to see if I can get rid of the 16 pixel/bright line problems.
  55. I've exaused all the combinations on the front panel.
