- I'm looking for standards for the installation of MS-WIN and
- applications.
-
- I've inherited a bunch of isolated networks and more stand-alone PCs.
- Over time we will be networking them all together. There are no
- standards in place right now. Every technician (or user)
- installs each package as he/she sees fit. Most users put their
- data in the tools' own directory (even on a server !)
-
- I'm looking for standards and techniques for handling the PATH
- limitation (every single tool directory wants to be path), Use of
- Enviroment space, etc.
-
- We are starting to homegrow some applications, so I'm also interented
- in developers standards (ie don't expect that your application will be
- installed in C:\WINDOWS).
-
- Thanks in advance.
