  11. A while back, I posted a request for leads to a third party library
  12. that would provide me with simple word processor functionality under
  13. Windows.  A few people expressed an interest in hearing about anything
  14. I might find.

  16. The one product that I found is TX Text-Control sold by the Aristos
  17. Company (203-521-0881).  It is a DLL that has a similar API to the
  18. Windows "edit" class.  In fact, the API is so similar that TX also has
  19. a 64k limit.  If that is not a problem, the product demo that I
  20. received shows that TX provides extensive WYSIWYG text formatting
  21. features.  TX is not an open system so I wouldn't be able to extend it
  22. to embed non-text elements. There is however an addon DLL available
  23. that supports embedding tiff images within the text.  The TX DLL is
  24. $1600; the addon is $500.
