  28. Pretty straightforward: if an application invokes the function
  29. MessageBeep with the parameter corresponding to the MessageBox icon,
  30. then you get the sound.  If it doesn't, and most don't, then no sound.

  32. The icon parameters are: MB_ICONASTERISK (same as MB_ICONINFORMATION),
  33. and MB_ICONEXCLAMATION.

  35. You can get the Exclamation sound very easily: just do something stupid.
  36. No, take off the funny red plastic nose: I meant do something in an
  37. application that is stupid.  Try pressing Page Up when you're at the 
  38. beginning of a file.  That sort of thing.
