  13. A few days ago there was a mention of someone having troubles with
  14. true type fonts and Ventura on Windows 3.1.  I have a similar problem
  15. where Ventura crashes on startup but only sometimes.  With no true type
  16. fonts at all it never crashes but it has a 50/50 chance when a bunch of
  17. true type fonts are installed.  Because the behaviour is erratic, I can
  18. assume that either Ventura does not handle any true type fonts well
  19. or that some fonts are bad for ventura and depending on the time of day,
  20. phase of the moon, etc., it will either start up with them or not.  If
  21. it does choose to become operational, ALL of the true type fonts are
  22. usable.

  24. Because of this behaviour, it is very difficult to weed out the fonts that
  25. Ventura gets upset about.  I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has
  26. a list of tried and proven fonts that always work.  Also, if anyone else is
  27. having this problem or has a solution (short of getting rid of the true type
  28. fonts).  I can be reached at byoung@bnr.ca.
