- Well, add me to the aforementioned ignorant 99%. Course I've only had
- my machine running, with Windows, for 3 weeks. And before that I didn't
- even know what you could do with .bmp files, .gif files, or most anything
- else. I ftp-ed to cica at your advice, just for kicks (Like *I* knew
- what to do with a sound driver! HA!) and got it. Then downloaded it and
- had it up and running in 20 minutes. The best thing is, my local "computer
- guru" was ASTONISHED to hear how easy it was and that he could run sounds
- with only a pc speaker too. By far, the best result so far of the sound
- driver, was having it set to "TADA" loudly when the machine was booted
- up, I FINALLY caught my father sneaking in to play Minesweeper early in
- the morning while I was still asleep! =) Thanks for the advice!
