- A while ago, I posted a brief review of Ami Pro 3.0. I have done further
- experiments and have found out some more features:
-
- I'd received mail from several people about how you can't have multi-line
- equations in one box. Well, I've done some experimenting (or playing, if
- you wish) and found that you can. To do so, just use the Matrix template
- and enter each equation into its own cell. I've no idea if this same thing
- can be done in Ami Pro 2.0, since I've trashed my copies. Would anyone wish
- to try it?
-
- It will importTeX into its equation writer as either pieces or as the whole
- the whole equation. You can also save only the equation in a TeX file,
- though I don't know how well it imports into TeX.
-
- The clean screen feature is very useful for those of us who only have
- standard VGA and don't have screen real-estate to cover it with many bars,
- rulers, etc. It allows you to see more of the document at a larger size.
- I haven't been able to figure out how to activate the menues with the mouse
- (to lazy to RTFM), but the alt-key will pop the wanted menu down.
-
- The envelop printing macro that is activated by icon is nice, but I
- can't figure out exactly how to properly load and orient the envelops
- in my printer (Panasonic 1124i). When printed on normal paper, the addresses
- look right, but somewhat centered on the middle line of the page (landscape
- mode). I've had to do some major fiddling to get it to somewhat print
- envelopes using the manual for the printer.
