- I was wondering whether a library exists that is available in the
- public domain or for a fee from a software house that have OCR
- (Optical Character Recognition) routines for the MSDOS environment
- that could be used to link in those capabilities into custom
- designed software. I am aware of the Logitech S.A.P.I. (Scanner
- Application Programmer Interface) package and the TWAIN Toolkit
- for Windows. Both these packages are suitable only for the general
- acquisition of raster data from hand scanners with no OCR routines.
-
- Ideally this package would have the capabilities to link in with
- the Borland C++ 3.1 Compiler in either C++ or ANSI C. Does such
- a package exist?
-
- Thanks for any help,
-
