- The machine I have on order from Gateway will have an IDE controller on
- local-bus. I didn't think to ask about whether it is 16-bit or 32-bit.
- They claim it has a transfer rate of 17-30 Mb/sec.

- What is a good source of information about disk drives? I'd like to
- know the difference between IDE, SCSI, and ESDI, but have no idea
- where to begin. I would prefer a source void of marketing hype, but
- I'm quite capable of filtering that out if necessary.
