  20. The machine I have on order from Gateway will have an IDE controller on
  21. local-bus.  I didn't think to ask about whether it is 16-bit or 32-bit.
  22. They claim it has a transfer rate of 17-30 Mb/sec.

  24. What is a good source of information about disk drives?  I'd like to
  25. know the difference between IDE, SCSI, and ESDI, but have no idea
  26. where to begin.  I would prefer a source void of marketing hype, but
  27. I'm quite capable of filtering that out if necessary.
