  14. Greetings.  I am looking for information on the 8259 Programmable
  15. interrupt controller.  Specifically, what protected mode programs 
  16. are actually doing when they reroute hardware IRQs.  I have the
  17. code but I'd like to know what the numbers really mean.  Any
  18. information is appreciated.
