  11. Hi,
  12.    I need some help with Windows 3.1! Every now and then an application will
  13.    quit on me and windows reports:
  14.                        Illegal Instruction Error
  15.                        in module GDI.EXE
  16.                        Address 0001:0624
  17.    I have no idea what could cause it. I checked my system for bad
  18.    memmory and hardware conflict and came up empty.  Win3.1 was installed
  19.    from floppies onto my 486-33 with 8MB of memory. I know that it is not
  20.    a problem with the video card or EMM386.exe or any other software
  21.    besides windows. (removed them all and error still ocuured). I also
  22.    turned of the cash and shadowing of memory, no effect.  The memory has
  23.    also been tested many times. 
  24.    If anybody out there knows anything I would appreciate the help!
