- I've just been going through that with some process that I wanted to do. I
- believe that what you want to do is increase the environment size. The
- first time you run command.com, use the /e:nnnnn switch. The default size
- is 160, (for 3.3) and that space is used for things like path or set.

- Check you docs for 5.0 (or 4.01), and see if the default size is different,
- the switch is different (it shouldn't be), or if the maximum size is
- different (it might be larger then the 32,768 that msdos 3.3 has for a
- limit).
