  11. I've just been going through that with some process that I wanted to do.  I
  12. believe that what you want to do is increase the environment size.  The
  13. first time you run command.com, use the /e:nnnnn switch.  The default size
  14. is 160, (for 3.3) and that space is used for things like path or set.

  16. Check you docs for 5.0 (or 4.01), and see if the default size is different,
  17. the switch is different (it shouldn't be), or if the maximum size is
  18. different (it might be larger then the 32,768 that msdos 3.3 has for a
  19. limit).
