  10. Oh please, oh please, can somebody HELP ME!?!?!

  12. About a day ago I started getting some rather strange errors from my
  13.  
  14. system... Today I finally ran chkdsk and found there were some errors,
  15. so I had chkdsk fix them... Anyway, now I eliminated the "sector not
  16. found" error, but it's now the other error of "Invalid COMMAND, Command
  17. not found, system halted..." I have no idea what it could be... I ran
  18. Norton Disk Doctor and ran a full set of tests on the hard drive, and
  19. found nothing... So then I thought I might have some new type of virus
  20. and it might be somehow corrupting command.com. Well, I ran SCAN 95b,
  21. which is the latest version out to my knowledge, and found nothing.
  22. So then I ran Central Point Anti-Virus, and it found nothing, then
  23. I ran Virus Safe, and still found nothing...

  26. It doesn't always crash, sometimes it will let me boot the system and then
  27. when I exit from a program such as FrontDoor (which I need for my BBS) it
  28. says "Invalid Command, Command not found, system halted" and it specifies
  29. that command.com is invalid or something along those lines... Does
  30. anybody know what the heck I could have done? I honestly can't figure
  31. anything out, and nobody I've talked with can come up with anything
  32. either...

  34. I can boot off of A: fine and then transfer to C: and load and use some
  35. programs, but that's about it, if I get too intense in what I'm doing, that
  36. error pops up and I get a system lockup again...

  38. ANY HELP is extremely appreciated... I've about gotten to the end of my
  39. rope on advice, and I thought this might hopefully be the place to inquire
  40. about this strange problem...
