  11. I know this has been discussed before (and if you know where the answer lies,
  12. point me to it and I'll try toi figure it out myself).

  14. I just installed mcc-interim 0.97p2.  I wanted to try the new version of the
  15. extfs (8) so I compiled it and (with a little ingenuity) managed to create the
  16. extfs.  The problem is that after I installed the whole mcc package and
  17. rebooted, I got a magic match failed error mounting my first partition (/).

  19. I did a mount and saw that my first partition was minix instead of ext.  the
  20. second partition was OK.  fdisk states that the partition is ext but mount
  21. seems to fail on that same partiotion.

  23. Is the mount on mcc-interim p2 incompatible with extfs 8?

  25. BTW, I tried creating a long file name on the "minix" partition and it
  26. succeeded (no file name truncation).
