- I beleive the disks are physically located on the wuarchive machine. They
- may well be NFS mounted on wupost as well. The nice thing about the disks
- on wuarchive is that they are all available for anonymous NFS mounting!
- Access may be a little bit slower than you are used to, but they're
- right in your local machine's file system! No having to use FTP.
- (Use cp instead!). I mount them using automount on my workstation.
- That way, they're available to me when I need them, and not mounted
- when I don't (assuming the network is up, and when it isn't, you're SOL
- anyways).
-
- So let's see, we get SL/IP working with the TCP/IP support in LINUX, get
- someone to do NFS, and NFS mount the wuarchive disks over the SL/IP connection,
- and voila'! Instant access to our linux archives! I can hardly wait!

-
- I think they update their mirrors once a day or so. I'm not sure at what
- hour tho.
