- I have had some problems getting tcp/ip to work on my 386-25. This is what
- happens: I make all the patches, compile the kernel and restart. Everything
- seems to be working fine, then when I try to run telnet or ftp, I get
- Segmentation fault (core dumped). What causes this? Also, I'm not sure how
- to configure Space.c. It askes for memory start and end (no problems there)
- and also recv memory start and end. recv memory? I'm not sure. EZSETUP (in
- ms-dos) doesn't talk about recv memory at all. I'm using an WD8013 card.
- What should I be using. The card is starting at address C8000 and has 16K of
- memory. I also increased the system size in the files that the readme
- mentions (was 5000 now is 6000).
-
- One subject of confusion is probably because I am using the MCC stuff. It
- makes different directories (the source isn't in the place that the diffs
- file for tcp/ip expects it). Is there going to be a problem with the patches
- that MCC has made and tcp/ip patches?
-
- One more problem, I can't run gdb. It always says: Illegal instruction
- (core dumped). I thought for sure I should be able to run that, but no dice.
- Can anyone help me? I would really love to have Linux running tcp/ip since
- that is what I do here (network support). MS-DOS just doesn't cut it.
