- Hi. More problems: I just finished getting mount-0.97 and the
- 0.97.pl5 kernel compiled (all of this comoiling was done under
- 0.97pl2): Now, when I boot under 0.97pl5, everything (sorta)
- works fine (I have the feeling I need to compile mount under pl5)
- and the login: prompt is presented, but when I try to log in,
- nothing happens. I.e.
-
- loomer login: root [I don't have any passwords]
-
- and it just sits there, like the shell is thinking. I can go to other pty's
- using the ALT-F keys combo, but they sit there after I type in a username
- as well. Any ideas? Maybe there's something in login or whatever that I need
- to recompile... /etc/motd isn't even showing up at login time (as it
- used to with the 0.97-1 rootdisk provided login).
-
- Thanks a lot for any help!
