  14. I know that the FAQ and such says not to use to alt.os.linux,
  15. but I still get news from there, so if it is still active
  16. is there a reason why not to use it.  I've seen quite a few
  17. posts about splitting this newsgroup.  Maybe we could direct
  18. newbie questions to alt.os.linux.  This is not a very good
  19. long term solution, but it may be a good way to try out having
  20. more that one linux newsgroup, and it doesn't really require
  21. any extra work.
