  10. Following hints supplied on this group, I managed to compile xtdm-2.5.
  11. It comes up with some of the pretty icons and all (varying luck
  12. depending on where I am when I call it up), but with lots of nasty
  13. messages like:

  23. I swear I put the libraries in the right place.  I even compiled xpm-3.0
  24. jsut to try to appease it.  I used the .xdtmrc that came with it, and
  25. later tried cutting down the icons, to no avail.  All the bitmaps seem to
  26. be in place.  When I try to do anything, like change directories, it 
  27. crashes and spews core files in the target directory.  the defaults are 
  28. installed and apparantly read, since the colors and size are right.

  30. Does anyone have this running, or any desktop manager?  I know many of you
  31. think that this is unnecessary, but I like the ease of using icons to 
  32. launch programs and manage files.

  34. I have 0.96b and gcc-2.2.2, with compatible X11R5.a
